Jean‑Marie Aerts
Jean-Marie Aerts (Bruges, 1951) is a guitarist and music producer. He taught himself the guitar before continuing his studies at the RITCS school of arts in Brussels. He began his career as a guitarist in a Shakespeare play performed at the KVS theatre. Over the years he has received widespread acclaim and built up a strong reputation as a musician, composer and studio producer. Jean-Marie Aerts has played guitar with various artists, including T.C. Matic, Arno, The Neon Judgement, Jo Lemaire, Luc Van Acker, Urban Dance Squad, Alain Bashung, Elisa Waut, Babylon Fighters, La Fille d’Ernest, Odieu, Beverly Jo Scott, Ashbury Faith, Junkfish, Philippe Léotard, Cobraz, Kris De Bruyne, El Fish, Victoria Tibblin, Mira, Gorki, Paul St. Hilaire, Raymond van het Groenewoud and Damso. Jean-Marie Aerts also produces solo work and has released three albums: AUTONOME, PARBLEU and DOMEZTIK.
