Louise Vanneste

Louise Vanneste is a dancer and choreographer. After training in classical dance, Louise Vanneste enrolled at P.A.R.T.S., where she graduated. A scholarship from the SPES Foundation (Be) allowed her to further her education in New York, notably with the Trisha Brown Dance Company. Within Rising Horses, Louise Vanneste develops choreographic works that transcend a creation process focused solely on and for the body. She is committed to the concept of choreography of the environment, which considers sound, light, space, humans and non-humans, the visible and invisible as choreographic terrains. She expands this approach through drawing, literary language and visual art. She views these interdisciplinary intersections as assemblies, sharing with them the living nature of a dialogue, a thought process in construction, capable of generating new forms. Her works have been presented in Belgium and internationally.
