Privacy policy

What categories of personal data do we process?
Kunstenfestivaldesarts is responsible for processing the personal data collected when you buy a ticket, subscribe to our newsletter or brochure, or communicate with us.
The data collected may include, depending on the case: title, first name, name, gender, age, language, address, contact details, data relating to past orders and – only when you make a payment – your bank or credit card details.
Kunstenfestivaldesarts asbl/vzw may collect anonymous or aggregated data which are of a non-personal nature, such as browser type or IP address, the operating system you use or the domain name of the website you used to go to or depart from the Kunstenfestivaldesarts asbl/vzw website. This enables us to continually provide an optimal Kunstenfestivaldesarts asbl/vzw website experience for our users.
If you are registered on a mailing list, we keep a record of the emails that we send you and may track whether you receive or open them so that we can send you the most relevant information. We can also track subsequent online actions, such as the purchase of a ticket.
When you make purchases or bookings for a programme, we collect your name, contact information and – in the event that you make a payment – your banking or credit card information. Tickets are personal and the information that we collect is required for, among other things, sending you your ticket(s), access control, determining correct pricing and to contact you in the event of programming changes or cancellations.
Do we share your personal data?
Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties, except to service providers and partners with whom we collaborate for our activities, such as our web host, our online booking and payment service provider or a banking institution in the case of secure payment, or another cultural institution with which we collaborate or co-produce an event, or even, if necessary, to the public authorities, in compliance with the law.
Our activities are organised in partnership with numerous cultural institutions such as Kaaitheater, KVS, Bozar, Théâtre Varia, Théâtre des Tanneurs, Les Brigittines, Beursschouwburg, Charleroi Danse, Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, Kanal - Centre Pompidou, La Balsamine or Le Rideau (updated list on our Partners page). Some of the data collected via our ticketing system (surname, first name, contact details, language) may be shared with the cultural partner who is co-presenting the event concerned, and this only with consent given via an "opt-in" or in compliance with a legitimate interest. This may be done either to share practical information important to the running of the event, or for direct marketing purposes and only for similar offers to your previous booking. You may object to the sharing of this data at any time by notifying us in writing (see below).
Your personal data will not be passed on to any other commercial partners.
